Job Summary
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all kitchen and laundry equipment, including ovens, fryers, dishwashers, and refrigeration units, to ensure safe and efficient operation. Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair commercial systems while monitoring temperature control and responding promptly to maintenance requests from Culinary, Housekeeping, and Laundry teams. Maintain accurate repair logs, manage spare parts inventory, and coordinate with external contractors for specialized tasks. Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards, including HACCP compliance, while keeping workshop areas organized. Collaborate effectively with operational departments to minimize downtime and support the hotel's daily service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Kitchen, Laundry, or Engineering Technician within a hospitality or hotel environment
- Hands-on experience with commercial kitchen and laundry equipment, including gas and electrical systems
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic repairs of equipment
- Basic understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems related to kitchen and laundry operations
- Familiarity with major kitchen and laundry equipment brands and models
- Understanding of HACCP compliance, food safety, and hygiene standards
- Proficient in written and spoken English
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call duties as required
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to perform basic welding and minor fabrication tasks is an advantage
