Job Summary
Drive the sales process from initial client consultation to design finalization, ensuring a smooth experience that culminates in a signed agreement and deposit. Hold final sign-off authority on all design drawings before they are released for production, ensuring accuracy, feasibility, and alignment with client expectations. Conduct jobsite measurements and accurately record applicable site conditions while taking ownership of the design process from initial measurements to the final approved design. Create proposals based on client specifications, get signatures, and collect payment as needed. Actively convert design consultations into sales by demonstrating the value of Village Handcrafted's products and services to prospective clients. Maintain robust relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry vendors such as architects and builders for long-term collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in, at a senior level, designing custom, modular cabinetry, and architectural millwork
- 2+ years proven experience in sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Proficiency utilizing cabinetry design software (20/20, Chief Architect, Cabinet Vision, Sketchup, AutoCad etc.)
- Strong space planning, organizational, and follow-up skills
- Creative, problem solver with a strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication with a professional presentation and attitude
- Experience and ability to accurately take jobsite measurements and read a tape measure
- Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of senior level working experience related to Interior Design, Architecture, or Construction Management
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience in cabinetry project management preferred
