Job Summary
Assist kitchen staff in daily production of cannabis-infused food products using commercial machinery, executing batch production and adhering to manufacturing formula standard operating procedures. Carry out tasks including prepping, cleaning, cooking, labeling, wrapping, and operating basic production and packaging machinery to produce and package edibles in accordance with state standards. Identify and troubleshoot quality issues, maintain a clean and safe production environment, and complete sanitation of equipment and tools. Train in food safety and sanitation protocols while ensuring personal hygiene and proper protective equipment before performing activities.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of experience in a general production, preferably a regulated field producing for human consumption
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of recipes, food production and kitchen sanitation
- Strong and effective task-management skills and ability to multi-task
- Attention to detail – ability to monitor basic kitchen production in process, package and label in a precise manner
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment
- Requires work around plant material, which could include exposure to plant pollen and/or dust
- Requires ability to sit, stand, kneel, and/or do repetitive actions with your hands for long periods of time
- Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs to torso level
- Must be 21 years of age or older to apply
- Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the need for current or future sponsorship at any time
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a production-heavy kitchen is a plus
