Job Summary
Conduct daily food preparation, including baking cakes, steaming ingredients, and making salads for catering orders. Maintain inventory control, vendor oversight, and safekeeping of equipment and company property. Keep the kitchen clean per store standards while adhering to state food service regulations and company rules. Perform physical tasks such as lifting 40 lbs, moving 25 lb products, and working with hot surfaces and dish detergent. Work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed in conditions involving heat, cold, and noise.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least eighteen years of age or have a work permit
- Be able to speak, read, understand and write the English language
- Be able to react to a fire by lifting a fire extinguisher weighing 20 pounds and moving it to the fire area
- Be able to tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products
- Be able to enter and work in a cooler at a temperature of 38 degrees up to 15 minutes at a time
- Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and extended hours when and if necessary
