Job Summary
Kinship Supervisor role supervising Kinship Specialists and/or Family Finders; focuses on safety, permanency, and well-being of children in DFPS conservatorship and kinship placements; responsibilities include identifying relative connections for children in foster care, advocating for families, and connecting them with community resources to improve their lives; requires a bachelor’s degree and three years of related full-time experience in child welfare settings; offers flexible scheduling, substantial leave, longevity bonus and tuition reimbursement; location in Dallas, TX; full-time position with equal opportunity employment; Predictive Index assessment required for consideration.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; and nine credit hours in undergraduate or graduate level courses that focus on family and individual function and interaction
- Three years of documented full-time experience in a residential child-care operation, or as a conservatorship caseworker or foster adoptive home development worker for the department. The experience must be in conducting assessments, service planning, or case management duties.
