Job Summary
Kinship Navigator Specialist – Social Worker serving the Scott county area. You will assess kinship caregiver needs, develop Kinship Support Plans with action steps, and connect caregivers with services including affordable childcare, medical, dental, and mental health care, basic needs support, and legal aid. You will engage with support groups and community partners to provide resources and strengthen placement stability, reunification, and child safety. The role emphasizes keeping children within their natural supports, bridging gaps in service delivery, and facilitating care within a strengths-based framework. Required Qualifications
- To qualify you must possess a Bachelor's Degree, Master's or AA degree in social work or a human services related field plus two (2) years of full time paid experience in child welfare or a Master's Degree in Human Services.
- Prior experience in working with Foster and Adoptive families is a plus!
