Kinship Navigator - Social Worker

Job Summary
Provide individualized kinship caregiver support to promote placement stability, reunification, and child safety. Conduct assessments of kinship caregiver needs; develop Kinship Support Plans with action steps; connect families to affordable childcare, medical/dental/mental health services, basic needs (clothing, furniture, food, gas cards), and supplemental resources (food assistance, FIP, medical insurance, legal aid). Facilitate support groups and partnerships with community resources. Goals include creating a safe, stable home environment for children, maintaining kinship placements, and improving service delivery for kinship caregivers through a strength-based approach. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree or AA degree in social work or a human services-related field
- Two years of full-time paid experience in child welfare or a Master’s Degree in Human Services
