Job Summary
Model a committed Christian faith and minister to the spiritual needs of students in a safe, fun, and thriving age-appropriate environment under the supervision of the Director and Lead Teacher. Supervise children in small and large group settings while implementing daily program activities and assisting with homework for grades K-6. Maintain a clean, well-functioning, and safe environment by setting up areas daily and ensuring equipment is stored properly. Respond directly to student needs, resolve concerns creatively, and collaborate with staff, families, and supervisors to uphold King's Kids Club standards. Lead staff devotionals and prayer meetings to foster spiritual growth.
Required Qualifications
- Belief that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior
- Is a committed Christian who is dedicated to continued spiritual growth and development as evidenced through a growing personal walk with God
- Prayerfully seeks God's will in their own lives and in their ministry at CRISTA
- Engages our ministry including staff and colleagues through prayer, participation in spiritual practices, leading devotionals and other spiritual practices
- Affirms, aligns with and supports CRISTA's Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Statement (CCC)
- Conducts themselves in a manner which reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC)
- Demonstrates the values of a CRISTA leader
- One year of experience working with children
- Have or be willing to obtain within 30 days of hire the following Portable Background Check Card, HIV and blood borne pathogen training
- Office 365
- Check in/out software
- Ability to use internet on the work desktop, laptop, iPad and iPhone
- Able to assist Kindergarten-6th grade students with homework
- Excellent time management skills to cover specific subject matter with students within an allotted amount of time
- 16 years of age or older
- Able and committed to work with multi-ethnic, culturally diverse student and parent population
- Able to work with the public in a friendly and courteous manner
- Maintain confidentiality and composure in a busy, open setting
- Have a patient, child-centered temperament
- Able to communicate clearly to children as well as both verbally and in writing to parents
- Display a positive & professional attitude
- Follow King's Elementary KKC Standards of Dress as outlined by Director
- Able to pass background checks relating to DSHS Secretary's List of Crimes and Negative Actions
- Must agree with and support without reservation CRISTA's Statement of Faith
- Must conduct themselves in accordance with the religious beliefs and practices that flow from that Statement of Faith and CRISTA's Christian Community Policy
