Job Summary
Direct and plan the work of mechanics by coordinating with the Program Manager and Maintenance Leads while performing repairs, replacements, and inspections on airframes, powerplants, and components in compliance with FAA regulations and manufacturer specifications. Assist team members in executing all aircraft system maintenance within safe and expeditious timeframes, identify potential safety issues, and report errors for necessary repairs. Maintain proficiency with technical publications, shop test equipment, and basic hand tools while ensuring a clean work environment and supporting aircraft movement logistics. Manage budget responsibilities and execute other approved projects as directed.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years in aircraft maintenance
- Must possess and maintain a current and valid license
- Must meet the requirements of Airport Authority to be receive a badge and have no ramp restrictions
- Must be able to read and speak English
- Must be able to communicate effectively with other personnel
- Basic math skills
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- A & P License
- Basic computer aptitude
- Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl
- Occasional periods of walking, sitting, rotation, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching
- Occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs
- Frequently lifting up to 10 lbs
