Job Summary
Kindergarten Teaching Assistant supporting a Preschool/PreK program at Durham Academy: assist lead teacher in setting learning goals, preparing instructional materials, and working with children in small groups or individually; lead whole group instruction when appropriate; supervise recess and transitions; perform duties as requested by the lead teacher; collaborate with colleagues and families to support student social and academic development; emphasize diversity, equity, and student wellness; utilize technology to enhance teaching and learning.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree (preferably in education)
- Experience working with children in an educational environment
- Demonstrated commitment to professional growth, collaboration and collegiality
- Passion for meeting the social and academic needs of Preschool students
