Job Summary
Kindergarten Teacher at Uplift White Rock Hills Primary School responsible for creating rigorous, engaging lesson plans and delivering the adopted curriculum including International Baccalaureate components; collaborates with an interdisciplinary team; maintains a productive, safe learning environment; communicates regularly with parents; completes required state trainings (HB 3 Reading Academies) and enrolls in Teach Us Certification Program or equivalent; bilingual skills (Spanish) are a plus; proficient with Microsoft Office; participates in professional development, meetings, and school-wide initiatives; supports and guides student growth and assessments throughout the year.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from an accredited college or university required
- Must have valid Texas Teacher Certification or be enrolled in an Uplift designated certification course
- Enrollment must be completed within the designated onboarding timeline; failure to apply/enroll or progress toward certification may impact onboarding or employment eligibility
- All K-3 teachers, including special education teachers, and principals are required to attend the HB 3 Reading Academies by the end of the 2022-2023 school year
- As a condition of employment, instructional candidates not currently certified are required to apply and enroll in the Teach Us Certification Program (or an Uplift-approved alternative) and to have applied by offer acceptance or immediately upon receiving an offer
