Job Summary
Elementary School Teacher responsible for fostering a nurturing, safe, and inclusive environment where foundational academic and social-emotional skills are developed. Focuses on implementing the Science of Reading, explicit Tier 1 and Tier 2 instruction, and managing whole-child development through PBIS and community-building activities. Responsibilities include planning explicit Tier 1 instruction in ELA (Phonics, Fluency, Comprehension) and Math aligned with Ohio Learning Standards; facilitating small-group interventions (Tier 2); integrating Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) through daily community meetings and the RISE framework; administering benchmark assessments (KRA, MAP, Acadience) and tracking progress with Reading Improvement and Monitoring Plans (RIMPs); providing meaningful feedback and maintaining records in PowerSchool; maintaining a PBIS-centered classroom environment; supervising students during non-instructional times; and differentiating instruction for English Learners and students with IEP/504 plans.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field
- Valid Ohio Teaching License (P-5 or K-8)
- Proper endorsements for subject area (e.g., Reading, TESOL) as required by the State of Ohio
