Job Summary
Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) while monitoring student progress through ongoing assessments. Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that supports the growth of every child, utilizing diverse instructional strategies and technology to meet individual needs. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student achievement and establish effective classroom management procedures. Collaborate with grade-level teammates, intervention staff, and administrators to support student success, while participating in campus and district professional development and maintaining accurate records. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Texas Teaching Certificate with appropriate EC–6 certification
- Knowledge of early childhood development and elementary instructional best practices
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
Desired Qualifications
- Experience teaching Kindergarten or other early elementary grades
- Reading Academy completion or willingness to complete required training
- Experience implementing differentiated instruction and small-group learning
