Job Summary
The Elementary Teacher will deliver standards-aligned instruction in a K–5 classroom, manage classroom culture, and support whole-child development. Responsibilities include using formative and summative assessment data to adjust instruction, implementing a tiered system of support, coordinating instruction across grade levels, communicating progress to parents and coaches, participating in professional development and planning sessions, and maintaining a safe, organized classroom environment. Requires collaboration with administrators and staff to drive student growth and meet diverse learning needs; candidates must hold or pursue a Michigan teaching certificate with an elementary endorsement and pass a background check.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Valid Michigan teaching certificate with appropriate elementary endorsement, or eligibility for certification through the Michigan State Board of Education
- Candidates who do not yet hold a Michigan teaching certificate may qualify through enrollment in CAP
- Satisfactory criminal background check
