Job Summary
Cooperate in developing classroom procedures and assist in preparing instructional materials while maintaining awareness of program goals. Carry out student supervisory duties to ensure a safe and healthful environment, collect and record money according to established procedures, and maintain classroom files and records. Assist students with understanding laws and regulations, share responsibility for school cleanliness, and exhibit positive behavior toward children, parents, and staff. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. This 10-month term role reports to the Supervising Teacher and Principal within Moore County Schools.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from high school
- Possession of an equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position
- Qualifications required under the provisions of No Child Left Behind
- Associate degree
- Completion of 48 semester hours of college credits
- Successful completion of a series of WorkKeys assessments plus earn 96 contact hours of appropriate staff development
