Job Summary
Kindergarten Specialist to design and deliver instruction for Kindergarten students across music, art, physical education, and technology. Part-time (0.4 FTE) position with prorated salary based on education and experience. Requires MN K-5 Elementary Teaching License. Responsibilities include building positive relationships with students, parents, and staff; collaborating to support a diverse learning population; maintaining records; and applying local, state, and federal regulations. Emphasis on effective classroom management, differentiated instructional strategies, and integration of instructional technology to monitor progress.
Required Qualifications
- MN K-5 Elementary Teaching License
- Proven classroom management skills
- Strong knowledge of elementary pedagogy
- Understanding of Social, Emotional and Behavioral Development and Acquisition
- Knowledge of school-wide assessments
- Record keeping principles
- Proficiency with computers and related software applications
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
- Experience with differentiated instructional strategies for diverse learners
- Ability to handle unexpected circumstances calmly and effectively
- Proficiency with technology used to support communication, academics, and progress monitoring
- Experience with school-wide testing protocols
- Ability to maintain student records and demonstrate progress
