Kindergarten Prep Teacher

Kindergarten Prep Teacher at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School. Responsible for supervising and instructing fully potty-trained children ages 2.5 to 5 years, delivering a grade-appropriate instructional program with lesson planning, classroom preparation, and assessment. Duties include supervising students, honoring individual needs, reporting concerns to the preschool director, helping create and follow plans to support students, sharing housekeeping responsibilities with staff, participating in faculty meetings and school activities, and using technology such as computers, overhead projectors, document cameras, and iPads. Administrative tasks include regular communication with parents via in-person meetings and professional emails, maintaining an orderly classroom, upholding confidentiality, and meeting safety and immunization requirements. Requirements include active Catholic affiliation (preferred), basic preschool catechetical certification (preferred), and completion of 18+ ECE units; a bachelor’s or associate’s degree is preferred. Candidates must pass background checks, immunizations, Mandated Reporter training, and a TB test. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. at a licensed childcare facility; duties may evolve with notice.
