Kindergarten Instructional Assistant

Under supervision of a certified teacher, the Instructional Assistant assists in the classroom to support student learning. Responsibilities include preparing for activities, working with small groups to reinforce material, assisting individual children in need of special attention, performing clerical duties, setting up audio-visual equipment, supporting reading and storytelling, assisting with library activities, and aiding with routine classroom tasks (snack, toilet, clothing). The role involves helping manage notebooks, correcting papers, and assisting with remedial and enrichment work, as well as participating in in-service training. Requires a high school diploma and 64 college credit hours or passing the Para Educator test; position for the 2026-2027 school year; capable of lifting 50 lbs.
