Job Summary
Design and implement appropriate instruction of designated content areas in accordance with state standards, district curriculum, and students' needs. Create a positive educational climate, deliver rigorous lessons, and utilize diverse teaching practices to meet individual student requirements. Observe and evaluate student performance, monitor assessment data, and manage student behavior using effective classroom strategies. Communicate with parents and personnel regarding progress, maintain confidential records, and ensure the health and safety of students. Maintain appropriate certifications and professional development hours as required.
Required Qualifications

- Maintain the professional knowledge and skills necessary to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of their positions
- Florida Professional Educator Certificate in Elementary Education
- Reads, analyzes, and interprets all kinds of documents
- Responds to inquiries or complaints from employees, regulatory agencies, or community
- Writes speeches and effectively presents to managers, the public, and school board
- Works with math concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry
- Applies concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Solves practical problems and deals with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Interprets a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
