Job Summary
Kindergarten Dual Language English Teacher is responsible for creating an engaging, standards-aligned classroom environment in Illinois, designing and delivering WICOR-based lessons, and assessing student progress. The role requires familiarity with WIDA standards and second language acquisition to support multilingual learners, MTSS-based social-emotional development, and collaboration with colleagues, families, and the community. Responsibilities include using diverse instructional strategies, integrating technology, differentiating instruction for all learners, and participating in professional learning communities to improve student outcomes. The position is 9 months, exempt under FLSA, with compensation per the district's CBA.
Required Qualifications
- Professional Educator License (PEL) or eligible for an appropriate license
- Endorsement in ESL
- Bilingual preferred, not required
