Job Summary
Kindergarten-focused elementary teaching roles at Allendale Elementary School. Responsibilities include planning a curriculum that meets diverse student needs, maintaining a conducive classroom environment, assessing and reporting on student progress, referring students for special needs evaluation, supervising aides/volunteers, and participating in professional training and district committees. Requires a bachelor’s degree and valid Michigan teaching certificate; 40-week contract with salary per master contract. Expectation to be available to students/parents outside instructional day and to maintain confidential records; involvement in staff meetings and compliance with district policies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college institution
- Valid Michigan teaching certificate or such other credentials as may be required by the Melvindale-Northern Allen Park Public School District for this position
- 40 week per year position (teacher work calendar)
- Salary according to master contract
