Job Summary
Deliver structured on-snow training sessions aligned with seasonal objectives and Long-Term Athlete Development principles. Provide technical coaching, encouragement, and constructive feedback while promoting athlete safety and adapting activities to weather and terrain. Support athlete participation in local and regional competitions through warm-ups, course inspection, and performance feedback. Collaborate with the coaching team on programming, planning, and maintaining open communication with athletes, families, and staff. Maintain required coaching certifications, SafeSport compliance, and club safety policies. Manage equipment setup, organization, and facility care while responding to changing conditions. Work evening and weekend hours during the competitive season with travel within and outside the province.
Required Qualifications
- Coaching certification appropriate to Freestyle programs, or willingness to obtain
- Current SafeSport certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Evening and weekend hours required during the competitive season
- Travel within and outside the province for events, training, and competitions
- Outdoor work in variable winter conditions
Desired Qualifications
- First Aid and CPR certification considered an asset
- Experience working with youth athletes in a sport or recreation environment preferred
- Passion for athlete development and freestyle skiing
