Job Summary
Develop and deliver the Kimberley Alpine Team's coaching philosophy, training sessions, and on-snow camps while aligning with BC Alpine and Alpine Canada standards. Recruit, mentor, and evaluate a high-performing coaching staff across all disciplines to ensure technical excellence and safety. Manage program operations, logistics, and compliance, acting as the primary liaison for athletes, families, partners, and the Board of Directors. Prepare strategic reports and oversee continuous improvement initiatives during evening and weekend hours. This role supports the club's commitment to the Long-Term Athlete Development model and fosters strong partnerships with local resorts and racing organizations.
Required Qualifications
- NCCP Certification or equivalent ski coaching qualification
- Strong understanding of Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) and athlete-centered coaching
- Significant coaching experience, including technical program design and delivery
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience within a competitive sport setting
- Proven ability to manage logistics, coordinate multiple programs, and mentor staff effectively
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
- Familiarity with BC Alpine, Alpine Canada, and club-level governance structures
- Evening and weekend hours required during the competitive season
- Travel within and outside the province for events, training, and competitions
- Outdoor work in variable winter conditions
