Job Summary
Monitor tile movement through the kiln firing process to ensure efficient production, inspecting units for defects and recording hourly temperatures. Collect samples for laboratory analysis and report equipment or process problems to the supervisor. Adhere to ISO operating procedures and control plans while maintaining a clean, safe workstation and cooperating with the team. Complete required training in ergonomics, safety, and health; identify and adjust workstation arrangements to reduce risk factors. Report injury symptoms, participate in incident investigations, and assist with other duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Ability to understand and speak basic English
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms
- Ability to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to sometimes sit, climb or balance
- Good oral and written communications skills
- Good record keeping skills
- Good listening skills
- Accurate measurement capability
