Job Summary
Kikuyu Linguist role within Yorktown Systems Group, Inc. and The Unconventional, supporting current and future foreign language and linguistic requirements across potential government contracts. Responsibilities include interpretation (in-person/virtual), translation of written/audio/video materials, document review/editing, and foreign language instruction. This evergreen requisition targets multiple language support roles across the YSG/TU portfolio, with travel possible and remote/CONUS locations noted. Candidates may be considered for various language support roles as opportunities arise.
Required Qualifications
- Must be qualified/certified at CAT I, CAT II, or CAT III with ILR English proficiency levels as specified
- CAT I: local or non-local personnel, security vetting required
- CAT II: US citizens with SECRET clearance considerations or interim access to SECRET/SCI
- CAT III: ILR level 3 in English, US citizenship with TOP SECRET/SCI access or interim TS clearance
- Experience providing foreign language instruction to adults
- Ability to translate, interpret, and review/edit materials accurately
- Understanding of local culture and customs
- Willingness to live and work in harsh environments
- Ability to work under high pressure and collaborate within a high-performing team
