Job Summary
Custodian at Clifton Park, NY (Part Time) responsible for cleaning and basic maintenance. Read and interpret instructions, procedures, and manuals; report maintenance requests; apply cleaning methods and operate cleaning equipment safely with cleaning compounds. Certifications in CPR, AED, and First Aid required within 30 days of hire; complete New Employee Orientation, Sexual Harassment, ALICE, and Bloodborne Pathogens trainings within 90 days. Shifts: Mon-Fri 9am-1pm or 2pm-6pm; on-site. Benefits include YMCA Membership, retirement, paid sick leave, and more.
Required Qualifications
- One year prior experience in custodial work preferred
- Excellent human relation skills and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
- Ability to report and record maintenance requests
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
- Basic understanding of the upkeep and care of equipment
- Understanding of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
- CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications (completed within 30 days of hire)
- New Employee Orientation, Sexual Harassment, ALICE (Active Shooter), and Bloodborne Pathogens trainings (completed within 90 days of hire)
