Job Summary
Lead movement-based activities including arts and crafts, story time, and games while fostering a safe, clean environment for children from 8 weeks to 15 years old. Communicate behaviors with parents at pick-up, maintain hygiene standards to prevent germs, and manage up to 50 lbs of weight. Strategize with leadership to improve KidTown and Varsity Club operations. Requires weekend availability, patience, high energy, and CPR/First Aid certification. Midtown offers complimentary club membership, product discounts, and professional development courses.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience working with children in an educationally supportive environment
- Must be available on weekends
- Comfortable with children ages 8 weeks up to 15 years old
- Take initiative and ownership to a position and lead youth members with confidence and care
- Possess outstanding verbal communication skills with children and adults
- Have patience and are outgoing and friendly
- Have high energy levels and can keep children moving in a variety of activities
- Display a willingness to grow with the changing needs of members and our space
- Maintain a positive attitude and enjoy working with children
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Willing to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to move from seated to standing position quickly to attend to child's needs
- Child CPR, First Aid & AED certification
