Job Summary
KidsTown Presenter and Program Designer is responsible for providing quality play and learning experiences for the Science Center’s youngest learners, including the creation of developmentally appropriate Storytime content for children ages 0-7 and their families and presenting this content on the exhibit floor. The role involves engaging with young children and accompanying adults through educational programs, researching and facilitating developmentally appropriate programming, collaborating with the Manager of KidsTown to deliver content and support events, training new staff and volunteers, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, and performing related duties. Preferred qualifications include experience with theatrical performance, improv, or public speaking, with bilingual ability being a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Degree seeking or hold a degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Science, or a related field.
- Experience & Certifications: Proven experience working with children and families in a formal or informal setting, experience creating developmentally appropriate educational content for children ages 0-7.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with theatrical performance, improv, or public speaking.
- Bilingual a plus.
- Supervisory Responsibility
