Job Summary
Lead daily supervision and program implementation at Union Center Elementary, developing outcome-based activities in education, arts, and physical fitness while ensuring safe, structured environments for youth. Administer grant-funded programs by tracking compliance, maintaining accurate attendance and assessment records, and reporting data to demonstrate impact. Serve as a mentor providing homework assistance, constructive feedback, and behavior guidance, while collecting payments from guardians and promoting upcoming events to parents and school staff. Work split shifts from 6:20am to 8:50am and 3:10pm to 6:30pm, requiring CPR/First Aid certification and a criminal background check.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with youth, particularly elementary school age
- Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems
- Capable of organizing and supervising members in a safe environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with youth, parents, staff, volunteers and general public
- Facilitate quality programs for youth
- Strong organization and time management skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritize
- Able to work with minimal supervision at a remote site location while maintaining a positive, calm demeanor
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain certification in CPR and First Aid
- Ability to pass a criminal history background check
- Ability to satisfactorily pass a drug screen for all federally illegal substances
- Must be eligible to work in the US
- Must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Some college education preferred
- Working knowledge of youth development
- Experience with Boys & Girls Clubs
