Job Summary
Plan and lead daily structured and free-play activities, including games, crafts, and storytelling for children in the Kids Zone. Maintain active supervision throughout the space, verify memberships, and manage accurate sign-in/out records while communicating with parents. Ensure a clean, sanitized environment by regularly cleaning toys and equipment, and strictly follow YMCA child protection policies, check-in/check-out procedures, and emergency protocols. Respond calmly to incidents and foster an inclusive atmosphere for all youth participants.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- CPR certification
- AED certification
- First Aid certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire)
- Ability to engage children in a positive and developmentally appropriate manner
- Ability to work effectively under stress and make sound decisions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
