Job Summary
Supervise and care for children in the center by organizing arts and crafts, leading games, reading stories, and singing songs. Perform regular duties at assigned stations such as the gate, baby room, or craft area while ensuring the environment remains safe, clean, and well-maintained. Enforce KidsWorld policies and operational procedures consistently, monitor developmental or safety concerns, and assist in transporting children to studio classes. Collect hourly, late, and diaper fees as applicable during check-in and check-out procedures. Take proper care of all property, equipment, and supplies while modeling strong communication and conflict-resolution skills. May work junior program events including weekends and birthday parties. Requires first aid and CPR certification, a high school diploma, and at least one year of related experience.
Required Qualifications
- Caring and compassionate attitude when interacting with and caring for children
- Strong verbal communication and listening skills to converse with children, fellow professional caregivers and parents or guardians
- Excellent patience and stamina for keeping up with the demands of children of all ages
- Advanced multitasking and organizational skills to handle multiple children at a time
- Knowledge of childcare principles and procedures
- Ability to relate to children and make the childcare facility an enjoyable atmosphere
- Knowledge of early childhood teaching strategies
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of related experience
- Certification in first aid and CPR
- Must pass criminal background check
- Sit and stand for prolonged periods
- Bend, lift and carry babies, children, supplies, toys, equipment up to 40 lbs
- Push, pull play equipment and toys
- Project voice across crowded, noisy room
- Climb and maneuver through jungle gyms and play areas
