Job Summary
Monitor program activities to ensure child safety and a proper learning environment while supervising and engaging children in groups or one-on-one interactions. Teach, play, and interact throughout the day, facilitating social, recreational, and conflict resolution skills through games and activities. Collaborate with site supervisors and coordinators to address program needs, discuss child development issues, and manage behavioral or disciplinary matters. Maintain attendance sheets and attend training sessions to keep skills current. Work part-time (0.50 FTE, 4 hours daily) at Aquila, Peter Hobart, PSI, and other community centers for school-age care and extended-day preschool services.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Over the age of 18
- AA Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Experience of three months
- First Aid and CPR Certification
- Over the age of 21
Desired Qualifications
- BA or higher in an unrelated field
- Experience of six months
- High School Diploma
