Job Summary
Coaches will implement a safe, supportive, and non-competitive learning environment while delivering instruction across 10 different sports. Responsibilities include teaching fundamentals, supervising children ages 18 months to 6 years, providing individualized attention, and engaging participants with age-appropriate language. Travel to pre-schools/daycares/schools in Reno/Sparks/Carson City, lifting and transporting equipment as needed, maintaining a high-energy, positive demeanor, and adhering to the Amazing Athletes Coaching Manual. Training is provided on the job, with an initial four-week period at a training wage of $22/hour, followed by $26/hour for regular coaching hours. Flexible scheduling is available with opportunities for additional hours and pathways to full-time employment.
Required Qualifications
- Must enjoy working with kids (ages 18 months to 6 years)
- Travel to pre-schools, daycares, schools, and other locations throughout the Reno/Sparks/Carson City area
- Be physically active and on your feet for hours
- Lift and transport sports equipment (1 rolling duffel bag, 35-45 lbs)
- Attend regular training and follow coaching manual and curriculum
- Open to feedback and ongoing coaching development
