Job Summary
Oversee Venture Kids Ministry from Nursery through 5th Grade, providing leadership, development, and direction for staff and volunteers; align ministry vision with the church’s mission; collaborate with Local Outreach and Events Director on family-oriented community events; manage annual budget; plan and implement programs; coach and develop volunteers; establish policies and procedures; evaluate and implement curriculum; create engaging environments; recruit and equip volunteer leaders; train through group meetings and weekend huddles; maintain parent and volunteer communications; coordinate check-in and attendance tracking with Guest Services; develop follow-up strategies for first-time visiting families; work with Security to ensure safe environments; oversee Adventure Kid’s Camp and other events; coordinate baptism classes and parent/child dedications; foster networking with local churches; perform other related tasks as needed; minimum education and experience required as listed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies
- Experience in leading children’s ministry in a large church setting
- Positive, collaborative and inspiring leadership
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- High emotional intelligence
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and adapt to change
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Ability to recruit, train, and develop a strong team and volunteer leader base
- Positive attitude, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to respond quickly in fast-paced settings
- Actively engaged in church life and ministry
