Job Summary
Greet, acknowledge, and interact with members and guests in a friendly and professional manner while fostering children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development through organized activities. Prepare for and set up classes, transfer children to and from programming, and maintain records of attendance, development, and incidents. Monitor the environment to ensure safety regarding toys, equipment, and surroundings, utilizing positive behavior management techniques and communicating clearly with parents and team members. Host parties and events, promote Junior programming to increase participation, and maintain program areas by following cleaning checklists and restocking supplies. Handle incidents and emergencies in a calm and professional manner. This hourly position offers wages starting at $15.25, with full benefits including a subsidized membership, 401(k) match, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- Less than a High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of all Kids On-Demand Required Learnings prior to first day of work
- First Aid certification
- Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED certification
Desired Qualifications
- 6+ months of teaching children ages 3 – 11 in similar programs or activities
- Ability to engage a group of children in an activity
- Customer service and strong communication skills
