Job Summary
Kids Instructor provides educational/fitness-minded programming for children aged 3 months to 11 years in the Kids Academy, including organizing, instructing, and implementing activities and games. Responsibilities include greeting members, instructing activities to foster cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development, preparing for class, transferring kids to/from programming, maintaining attendance records, ensuring a safe environment, using positive behavior management, promoting Junior programming, and restocking supplies. Requires First Aid and CPR/AED certification within 60 days; 6+ months of experience teaching children in similar programs is preferred. Life Time emphasizes inclusivity and equal opportunity.
Required Qualifications
- First Aid certification required within the first 60 days
- Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED certification required within the first 60 days
- Less than a High School Diploma or GED
- 6+ months of teaching children ages 3 – 11 in similar programs or activities
- Ability to engage a group of children in an activity
- Customer service and strong communication skills
