Job Summary
Assistant Teacher for After School K-5 program in Hingham, MA. Responsibilities include supervising and ensuring children’s safety, providing 1:1 support as needed, planning developmentally appropriate activities, promoting positive interactions, assisting in setup/breakdown of spaces, preparing snacks and materials, participating in daily activities and staff meetings, and completing required professional development (EEC StrongStart) with annual First Aid/CPR training. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, at least 2 years of related experience, ability to lift up to 20 lbs, and successful background checks. Part-time role (20 hours/week, M-F 2:00pm–6:00pm) within the Kids in Action/Hingham Public Schools program.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years experience as an assistant teacher or similar role
- Clear all HPS and EEC Background checks
- First Aid and CPR training annually
- Attend Staff Meetings
