Job Summary
Lead the COF Younger Elementary Ministry (Kinder–2nd) and oversee volunteers and families, developing coaches/directors to cover leadership in the absence of the primary leader. Build a thriving weekend team using Orange Curriculum, ensure safety procedures (eg. 2-adult-rule), and connect with kids beyond Sunday mornings. Provide pastoral care and training for volunteers, manage volunteer scheduling for weekend services and events, and coordinate weekday logistics including onboarding, registrations, check-ins, and restocking the COFkids store. Oversee curriculum/resources for weekend services and facilities, support events (baptism, Wednesday nights, camps), and align with core ministry competencies like Children’s Champion, Owner/Operator, Activator, Collaborative Leader, and Creative Communicator. Workdays are Monday–Thursday 9:00am–4:00pm and Sunday 8:00am–1:00pm, with participation in other events as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in ministry, education, or relevant field, or equivalent experience
- Several years of experience in full-time kids’ ministry/leadership
- Experience in administration, coordination, and event planning
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strength in relationship building
- Strong time management skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
