Job Summary
Create a welcoming, safe, and clean childcare environment for children while parents utilize the fitness facility. Conduct accurate child registration, check-in, and check-out procedures. Supervise and monitor children at all times, engage them through age-appropriate activities like games and arts and crafts, and provide attentive care including bottle feeding and meal assistance. Clean, sanitize, and organize toys and equipment to uphold health standards, ensuring the space remains free of hazards. Answer childcare-related phone calls, communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's needs, and address member requests or escalate concerns to management. Maintain knowledge of club programs and services to assist members.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Current Child and Infant CPR certification or ability to obtain and maintain certification
- Additional certifications as required by state or local regulations
- Successful completion of a background screening
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and move frequently throughout scheduled shifts
- Ability to actively engage with children during recreational activities
- Ability to climb and hang decorations or assist with room setup when needed
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Proof of employment authorization
- Completion of all required employment verification documentation
