Job Summary
Create a welcoming, safe, and engaging childcare environment while supervising children of varying ages. Conduct accurate child registration, check-in, and check-out procedures. Engage children through age-appropriate activities, games, arts and crafts, and educational play. Provide attentive care to infants, including bottle feeding and meal assistance as directed. Clean, sanitize, and organize toys and equipment to uphold health and safety standards. Answer childcare-related phone calls and communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's needs. Address member requests promptly or escalate concerns to management. Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned by club management.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Current Child and Infant CPR certification or ability to obtain and maintain certification
- Additional certifications as required by state or local regulations
- Successful completion of a background screening
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and move frequently throughout scheduled shifts
- Ability to actively engage with children during recreational activities
- Ability to climb and hang decorations or assist with room setup when needed
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Proof of employment authorization and completion of all required employment verification documentation
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare, educational, recreational, or related setting
