Job Summary
Provide safe, supervised play for children of WSYMCA members at Church St location; duties include ensuring sign-in/out, enforcing health codes, planning age-appropriate activities (play, songs, story-time, crafts), completing forms, following emergency procedures, and attending meetings. Must be CPR/AED/First Aid trained, able to relate well to diverse groups, lift up to 25 pounds, and participate in staff trainings and dress code requirements. Part-time role within a community YMCA childcare team focused on youth development, health, and safety.
Required Qualifications
- Infant and Adult CPR/AED, and First Aid
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community
- Previous experience in children’s play, arts and crafts and group activities
- Required trainings for WSYMCA employees
