Job Summary
Assist Kids Club staff with supervising Pre-K through 5th grade students in the after-school program, ensuring each child is well cared for and safe. Conduct age-appropriate activities and maintain confidentiality while following district safety protocols and emergency procedures. Ensure the security of children during transitions to and from outdoor play areas. Maintain emotional control and self-control amidst frequent interruptions. Participate in staff development, meetings, and special events as assigned. Work Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. while school is in session.
Required Qualifications
- High school student or home-schooled high school student residing within the boundaries of DSISD
- At least 15 years of age
- Ability to read and verbally communicate with children, staff, and parents
- Ability to work positively with groups of children
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Effective organizational and communication skills
- Ability to relate to children and adults with courtesy, respect, compassion, and patience
- Ability to work Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. while school is in session
