Job Summary
Join the Kids Club at the New Canaan YMCA as a part-time on-site babysitter, providing a caring and safe environment for children aged 6 months and older. Responsibilities include supervising children, creating an inviting playroom atmosphere, and managing check-in/check-out procedures. Ideal candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in a childcare setting, be available for 8-10 hours per week, and possess the ability to make sound decisions while caring for young children. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Candidates should be 18 years of age or older
- Able to commit to 8 - 10 hours a week
- Demonstrate ability to care for young children
- Confidence to take control and make sound decisions easily
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in babysitting and/or childcare environment (min 2 years preferred)
- Infant/toddler through early elementary school age experience preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
