Job Summary
Supervise children in the youth/day care center while ensuring constant supervision, monitoring behavior, and facilitating age-appropriate activities. Engage with members regularly to promote club and children's programs, including warm welcomes and creative interactions. Assist children with meals, maintain cleanliness of the facility, and ensure daily assignments are completed to uphold Club standards. Provide a safe, playful environment where parents feel confident their children are in capable hands.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Basic first aid and CPR certification
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. on occasion
- Talking, hearing, and seeing
- Availability to work on weekends and/or holidays as required
- Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet position deadlines
- Adherence to attendance requirements as outlined in the weekly schedule
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children in a day care, camp, or educational setting
- Experience in child supervision, activity planning, or youth programs
- Familiarity with health and safety protocols for childcare environments
- Interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and fellow staff
- Ability to manage and engage a group of young children in fun, age-appropriate activities
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with children of various ages
- Ability to remain calm and attentive in a fast-paced or sometimes noisy environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure a safe and structured environment for the children
