Job Summary
Manage the Kids and Aquatics department by overseeing daily operations, staffing, and safety standards. Lead team members through hiring, training, and supervision while ensuring continuous professional development. Formulate and monitor department activities within budgetary guidelines and complete daily inspections for cleanliness. Partner with membership sales to acquire and retain kids memberships, then plan and execute special events to drive attendance. Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain safe, engaging environments for all guests.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of customer service experience
- 2 years of coaching and/or swim instructor experience
- 2 years of lifeguarding experience
- 2 years of supervisory/management experience
- Red Cross Lifeguard and First Aid
- Successfully complete and pass the Life Time Swim Certification
- Successfully complete and pass Aquatics & Kids Manager Training
- CPR/AED certification required within the first 3 months of hire
- Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
- Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
- Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs
- First Aid certification, Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED certification required within the first 60 days of hire
- American Red Cross Lifeguard and First Aid
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's level degree
- NSPF Certified Pool Operator (CPO)
- Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor (LGI)
- Lifeguard Instructor Trainer (LGIT)
- 1 year of experience teaching or working in a children's program
- 1 year of experience in day care setting as a lead teacher
- two consecutive summers of camp experience with increased responsibility
- Early Childhood Education Certificate
