Kid’s Club - Lead Counselor

Job Summary
Lead day-to-day programming in the Game Room and Tuskers Kids Club, supervising 1–5 Kids Club Attendants across weekday evening and weekend shifts. Coordinate staff schedules, coverage, and child-to-staff ratios while planning creative recreational activities, seasonal events, and holiday programs. Maintain safe, clean, and organized program areas, manage activity supplies and inventory, and ensure compliance with health and safety policies. Respond professionally to parent concerns, behavioral issues, and emergencies, completing required documentation promptly. Work 28 to 40 hours per week in varying weather conditions, reporting to the Tuskers Supervisor to support department priorities and execute events smoothly.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Coursework in education, recreation, child development, or a related field
- Experience working with children in a camp, childcare, recreation, school, or hospitality setting
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certification
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and actively participate in games and activities
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and seasonal events as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Coursework in education, recreation, child development, or a related field
- Leadership or supervisory experience
- Willingness to obtain CPR, First Aid, and AED certification
- Strong communication, leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to lead age-appropriate activities and remain calm, professional, and positive in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, creative, detail-oriented, and committed to teamwork and hospitable service
