Job Summary
The Kia Service Technician II is responsible for performing complex vehicle repairs and maintenance in accordance with dealership and factory standards, including work on hybrid and electric vehicles. Key responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical problems, conducting repairs on various vehicle systems, communicating effectively with service advisors and customers, and documenting all work performed. Candidates must have at least 3 years of automotive technician experience, possess strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, and hold a valid driver’s license. The role requires physical ability for lifting and working in various positions, along with a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of hands-on experience working as an automotive technician
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record; required to have California driver's license within 30 days following date of hire
- At least one year of verifiable driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the job description
