Job Summary
Approach, greet, and assist customers entering the showroom or sales lot by asking questions, listening carefully, and explaining product performance, application, and benefits. Offer test drives to all prospects, ensuring proper identification is obtained prior to the drive. Write complete sales orders, process paperwork in accordance with dealership policies, and utilize sales control and follow-up systems. Maintain prospect and owner follow-up systems to encourage repeat and referral business while satisfying transportation needs of new-vehicle purchasers. Sells, leases, and delivers a minimum of 8 units per month in an ethical and professional manner. Attends product and sales training courses as requested by the sales manager to stay current on new products, features, and accessories.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years experience as an Automotive Sales Consultant
- At least 1+ years of experience with Kia
- Must have 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- State Sales License
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Knows and understands the federal, state, and local laws that govern retail auto sales
- Has thorough knowledge of all dealership products and services
- Knows and understands equity and values and can explain depreciation to the customer
