Job Summary
Full-time remote English-Khmer Experienced Medical Interpreter in a blended (OPI & VRI) environment. Provides accurate consecutive interpretation over the phone and via video between English and Khmer in medical, social services, customer service, and financial settings. Facilitates communication between healthcare providers and patients to ensure understanding and quality care. Requires knowledge of medical terminology, fluency in English and Khmer, remote interpretation experience in both languages, HIPAA compliance, and relevant medical-interpretation certification. Hardware/browser requirements include direct ethernet connection, approved USB headsets, up-to-date browsers, a 1080p camera, and a compliant workstation. Pay is per available hour; work-from-home with opportunities for growth; start date June 2026.
Required Qualifications
- Medical interpretation skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Fluency in English and Khmer
- Remote interpretation experience in both languages is mandatory
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Relevant certification in medical interpretation or a related field
- HIPAA compliance
- Ethernet connection (direct to router)
- USB headset with approved brands
- Browser: latest Chrome/Safari/Edge/Firefox
- Processor: i5 or higher, 6th gen or newer
- Camera: 1080p minimum
- Full-time availability, 5 days a week (2 days off)
