Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive newborn care including feeding, bathing, diaper changes, and maintaining hygiene. Manage baby laundry, sanitize bottles and toys, and keep the environment clean and tidy. Engage the infant with age-appropriate activities, provide outdoor walks, and establish healthy sleep habits per AAP guidelines. Maintain detailed logs of feedings and diaper changes while carrying out parents' preferences for nursery items and routines. Work five nights per week for 10-12 hours, with a live-out arrangement requiring local housing and reliable transportation. Commit to a minimum of 12 weeks, with potential travel to a second home outside the city.
Required Qualifications
- Collaborative and kind team player; willing to work with involved parents
- Professional and communicative
- Knowledge of infant care best practices, safety protocols, and first aid
- Trustworthy and dependable
- 5+ years as a newborn care specialist
- CPR and first aid certified, willing to renew before start date
- Up-to-date vaccinations – Tdap, flu
- Available to commit for a minimum of 12 weeks
- Legal to work in the U.S.
- Open to travel to their second home located approximately 1.5 hours outside of the city
- This may include spending the night over the weekend (with notice)
- Commuting distance to Seattle, as this is a live-out position candidate must have own housing locally and reliable transportation to and from employment
